| Vetrano | Vetrano & Feinman

Philadelphia, PA December 4, 2013 – Kate Vetrano, a divorce lawyer serving Philadelphia and its surrounding areas, has received the award of BV Distinguished Lawyer from the Martindale-Hubbell® organization for 2014. Vetrano, who has received this high distinction annually since 2008, accepts the award that marks excellence in maintaining the highest general ethical standards and legal ability. As a long-standing recipient of the title, Vetrano has shown herself to be one of the area’s top lawyers.
Kate Vetrano began her legal career as a divorce lawyer over 30 years ago after graduating from Widener University School of Law, just outside of Philadelphia. She has since practiced in the fields of divorce law, also known as family law, and family law mediation, but Vetrano has also served in an array of positions associated with law, including teaching seminars and classes on the current topics in arenas such as the Montgomery Bar Association, Delaware County Bar Association, and Pennsylvania Bar Association. The long-time Philadelphian has also traveled to other locales within the United States to present lectures on her areas of expertise.
Martindale-Hubbell presents the award of BV Distinguished to Vetrano, which means that the divorce lawyer was rated between 3.0-4.4 on a 5-point scale by a group of her peers in the Philadelphia area. Martindale-Hubbell describes the rating achieved by Vetrano, saying, “BV Distinguished® is an excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. A widely respected mark of achievement, it differentiates a lawyer from his or her competition.” To determine who receives the distinctions, Martindale-Hubbell looks to surveys completed anonymously by a lawyer’s peers through the LexisNexis secure surveys. The standardized process ensures that all award recipients are properly vetted, and lawyers are surveyed in the areas of: legal knowledge, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability, and legal experience.
Aside from this most recent distinction Vetrano has been honored by a variety of organizations and publications including: Best Lawyers®, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Suburban Life Magazine, Philadelphia Magazine, U.S. News, Mainline Today.
Many of Vetrano’s accolades have come from her practice of family law as a divorce lawyer in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties. In fact, the divorce lawyer recently published an article on an emerging topic of interest in family law: divorces after age 50. Vetrano described that adults over 50 years old are living longer and better lives, and are more likely than the generation before them to divorce at this age rather than stay in an unhappy marriage because of they still have a long life ahead of them. This continued study into unique topics keeps Vetrano as a leader in her field.
