How We Are Different

At Vetrano | Vetrano & Feinman LLC, our divorce lawyers meet with our clients to carefully understand the nature and complexity of their lives and their situations and family dynamics. We strive to find solutions to all problems that impact the family. A couple may decide to divorce, but when they have children together, their lives will never be totally separate. The family is forever even if the mother and father are no longer husband and wife, and the family must survive the divorce.

We understand that the way you handle yourself in the divorce will influence just how your family interacts with one another. We will guide you toward appropriate behavior and responses. We will not add to the stress of your divorce by encouraging you to take unwarranted positions or to take actions that do nothing but cause estrangement of the family members. There is enough adversity in a divorce without the lawyers fighting their own battles.

We will help you understand the different ways to share custody of your children with the other parent. We will help you see what is in the best interests of your children if the conflict of the divorce is clouding your judgment.

Although representing your interests is our primary goal, helping you achieve your goals in a family-centric manner is very important to us. We want to help you find amicable solutions without compromising your rights. We will help you weigh different approaches so that you can make decisions that work for you and for your family. We will show you what different proposals for settlement mean to you so that you can make the right decisions about your divorce and resolution of the many property and alimony issues that arise.

Our Family And Divorce Lawyers

Kate Vetrano has been practicing family law for 40 years. For the first ten years of her legal career, Kate Vetrano was a civil litigator handling a diverse caseload involving divorces, custody matters, and child custody cases. Kate Vetrano’s early training as a litigator has prepared her well. She understands the price one pays to take a case to court, but she also has the training and background to represent your interests in court if that is where you must go to get the relief needed and to protect your interests.

Sarinia Feinman has been with Vetrano for over sixteen years, becoming a named partner in 2015. Ms. Feinman handles much of the firm’s litigation and highly contentious cases. She prides herself on her ability to successfully negotiate settlements for her clients while still having the ability to change courses, if the case does, and be an effective litigator and strong advocate for her clients, if and when warranted.

We pride ourselves on being responsive to your needs. As a small firm, we value our accountability to our clients. Our family lawyers limit their practices to divorce, child custody matters, child support, alimony, prenuptial or premarital agreements, step-family adoptions, grandparent custody matters, and post-divorce issues that arise.

Kate Vetrano devotes time from her busy career every year to teach lawyers about the many issues that they face when they represent a client going through a divorce. She has been a founding member of several professional organizations designed to help lawyers serve the legal community of divorce professionals, such as the Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court, the Collaborative Family Law Affiliates, Professionals for Amicable Divorce, and the Family Law, Law Practice Management Group. Kate has distinguished herself as a fellow of both the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers.

Sarinia Feinman has greatly benefited from the mentorship of Kate Vetrano. With her guidance and under her auspices, Ms. Feinman was elected to various offices, including President of the Montgomery Bar Association, President of the Doris Jones Freed American Inn of Court in Matrimonial Law, Chair of the Family Law Section of the Montgomery Bar Association, Chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Montgomery Bar Association, and a Director on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Bar Association. Ms. Feinman contributes her time and advice as a board member of the Board of Managers of the Montgomery County Youth Center, as a member of the Council of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section, and in her position with the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s (PBA) House of Delegates. Ms. Feinman is also a frequent speaker and course planner for various continuing legal education (CLE) programs for both the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Montgomery Bar Association.
