On Saturday, June 11, 2016, Blue Bell divorce attorney Lindsay Hanifan Childs will be speaking at the Second Saturday Divorce Workshop, titled “What Every Woman Needs to Know About Divorce.” The workshop focuses on the reality that a divorce is not just a legal matter; it is a life-changing event. Therefore, Mrs. Childs will be joined by a financial planner and a marriage/family therapist, to provide the women in attendance with knowledge on all aspects of the divorce process – legal, financial, and emotional. During the workshop, Mrs. Childs will discuss the court filings and proceedings involved with a divorce, what rights and obligations the law provides, and options for alternative dispute resolution. Specific topics will include the division of marital property, alimony, child support, and custody. The program will take place at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $20.00. The Second Saturday Divorce Workshop, which was created by the non-profit group Women’s Institute for Financial Education (Wife.org) began in San Diego in 1989. It is now a national program that has provided knowledge and support to over 10,000 women.
